ish.studio is a design and development studio that creates premium websites for B2B companies. As a Webflow Premium Partner based in Oslo, we work at the intersection of business development, websites, and growth.
We’re looking for a Lumos-first Freelance Webflow Designer & Developer who can do both — design polished, conversion-driven pages in Figma and bring them to life in Webflow with the same level of craft. This is a hands-on role that sits right in the middle of design and development. You’ll be responsible for the full journey: from translating briefs and wireframes into high-fidelity designs, to building responsive, CMS-driven Webflow sites that are clean, fast, and ready to scale.
We’re not looking for someone who only designs or only develops — we need someone who thinks across both disciplines and takes pride in delivering work that looks great and is built properly. If you care about the details, enjoy working with B2B brands, and want to be part of a studio that values quality over volume, this role is for you.
What You’ll Do
- Design high-fidelity web pages in Figma, from landing pages to full marketing websites.
- Build and launch responsive, pixel-perfect websites in Webflow using the Lumos framework, including CMS-driven pages, dynamic collections, and reusable components.
- Create polished Webflow interactions and animations that enhance the user experience without compromising performance.
- Collaborate with our brand designers and strategists to ensure websites align with each client’s visual identity and business goals.
- Architect and structure Webflow CMS collections, dynamic content, and workflows for large-scale projects that are intuitive for clients to manage.
- Extend Webflow beyond its native capabilities using custom HTML, CSS, and JavaScript where needed.
- Set up API integrations, Zapier/Make automations, and third-party tools within the Webflow ecosystem.
- Optimise sites for performance, SEO, and accessibility, ensuring fast load times and clean, semantic structure.
- Prepare clean, well-organised Webflow projects with consistent naming conventions, style guide usage, and maintainable class structures.
- Contribute to internal standards, best practices, and studio-wide development guidelines.
- Iterate on designs and builds based on feedback, working through revisions efficiently while maintaining quality.
What You Should Have
- Professional experience working as both a web designer and Webflow developer — with a portfolio that shows strong work in both.
- Advanced Webflow skills including CMS collections, responsive design, interactions and animations, and component-based builds using the Lumos framework.
- Strong design fundamentals — layout, typography, spacing, colour, and visual hierarchy.
- Proficiency in Figma for high-fidelity web design and prototyping.
- A solid understanding of responsive design principles and how to build for all screen sizes.
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript — enough to extend Webflow beyond its native features when a project calls for it.
- Experience working with B2B companies is a strong plus.
- The ability to work independently, manage your own time, and communicate clearly with stakeholders.
- Comfort working remotely and asynchronously with a distributed team.
- Strong knowledge of SEO best practices — from technical SEO and site structure to on-page optimisation and analytics tools.
- A solid understanding of the full website launch process — including site migrations, SEO redirects (301s, URL mapping), DNS configuration, and go-live checklists. You should be comfortable owning the technical side of a launch from staging to production.
- Experience using AI tools to enhance design and development workflows — such as Claude, Cursor, or similar.
Nice to Have
- Experience with animation libraries such as OSMO Supply or similar to create rich interactions beyond Webflow’s native capabilities.
- Understanding of conversion rate optimisation and how design impacts lead generation.
- Experience with AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) — structuring content and markup so sites surface well in AI-driven search results and answer engines, not just traditional SEO.
About Us
We’re a fast-growing, multidisciplinary team that spans business development, design, 3D, and creative development. We believe in long-term relationships — with our clients and with the people we work with. We put the person first, and believe the best work comes from good communication, empathy, and being kind and clear with each other. We understand that truly great work is about mixing business outcomes with creative output — it’s never black and white. We always hold both in mind, and that’s what fuels our curiosity and makes us push the boundaries.
How to Apply
Send your portfolio and a brief introduction to moe@ish.studio. Please include examples of both your design work and live Webflow builds. We’d love to see how you approach the full process from design to development.
If you find yourself short on any of the above, don’t be afraid to get in touch. We value continuous learning and ability more than any set list of must-haves — and we’d love to talk to you.
If we don’t get back to you, please don’t feel discouraged. We often receive more applications than we can handle, but we’ll do our best to respond to everyone.
